Eligibility Criteria
- MBBS degree in Allopathic medicine from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India.
- Postgraduate degree in General Medicine (optional).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical practitioner in a hospital or clinic.
- Applicant’s residence or dispensary must be within 3–5 km of the RBI Bhopal office.
Reservation Details
- 1 post reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
- Valid caste certificate in the prescribed format must be submitted.
- Engagement is provisional and subject to caste verification by competent authority. False claims will result in termination and legal action.

Selection Process
- Shortlisting of eligible candidates followed by an interview.
- RBI reserves the right to raise minimum eligibility standards.
- Final selection subject to medical examination and acceptance of terms and conditions (Annex-I) and code of conduct (Annex-II).
- Selected candidate must sign an agreement before engagement.
Roles & Responsibilities
As mentioned in Annex-I, the consultant will:
- Attend RBI dispensary daily for approx. 3 hours (Mon–Fri).
- Provide free medical consultation, treatment, injections to RBI staff and dependents.
- Handle emergencies inside and outside working hours.
- Conduct inspections, issue medical certificates, and manage drug stocks.
- Provide reports on staff health and hygiene.
- Provide substitute arrangement during leave at own cost.
Code of Conduct
As per Annex-II, the consultant must:
- Maintain confidentiality of RBI’s affairs.
- Avoid political or union activities.
- Refrain from accepting gifts or soliciting referrals.
- Not outsource duties or remain absent without approval.
- Follow decorum, anti-harassment, and substance policies.
- Avoid press disclosures without prior RBI approval.
- Comply with RBI's instructions and work honestly and faithfully.
Termination Clause
- Contract is terminable with 3 months’ notice or remuneration in lieu by either party.
- In cases of gross misconduct, the Bank may terminate the contract with a 10-day notice.
- All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Bhopal courts only.
