Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s (4-year B.Sc. degree as per NEP) in Natural Sciences or related disciplines with relevant R&D experience.
• OR Master’s degree in relevant subjects with R&D experience.
• For senior positions: Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) with significant R&D experience.
• Desirable: Experience in wildlife/ecology research, statistical & spatial analysis, RS/GIS tools, project coordination, peer-reviewed publications.

Age Limit

• General Limit: 50 years (most positions)
• Project Scientist – I: 55 years
• Relaxations: SC/ST – up to 5 years, OBC – up to 3 years

Selection Process

The selection will be based on shortlisting followed by online interviews. Criteria include:

• Essential qualification and age
• Percentage of marks in Bachelor’s/Master’s
• Relevance of specialization
• Research experience
• Publications and presentations

Weightage distribution differs by post category (Field/Lab Assistants, Project Associates, Senior Associates, Scientists).

Other Important Instructions

• Candidates may apply for a maximum of two posts with separate applications and fees.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required if currently engaged with WII or a Ph.D. scholar.
• No Dues Certificate is mandatory if previously worked at WII.
• Incomplete, unsigned, or late applications will be rejected.
• Positions are temporary and project-specific.
• Canvassing will lead to disqualification.
