Base Salary / Stipend
Selected candidates engaged as Apprentices will undergo Apprenticeship training for a period of one year and will be paid a stipend during the training at the prescribed rate as per extant rules governed by the concerned State Governments. No fixed salary is mentioned in the notification.

Application Process
- Applications must be submitted ONLINE only through the official website.
- Applicants must upload scanned copies of certificates including SSC/10th, ITI, caste certificate, photograph, and signature.
- No physical/offline applications will be accepted.
- Applicants should have a valid email ID and Aadhaar card at the time of application.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: 10th / Matriculation or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. ITI certificate in relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT is compulsory.
- Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible.
Age Limit (as on 16.09.2025)
- Minimum: 15 years
- Maximum: 24 years
- SC/ST: Relaxation of 5 years
- OBC: Relaxation of 3 years
- PwBD: Relaxation of 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation equal to length of service + 3 years
Reservation Details
Reservations are provided for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories along with horizontal reservation for PwBD (4%) and Ex-Servicemen (3%).
Candidates applying under EWS must provide a valid Income & Asset Certificate issued by a competent authority as per government rules. The gross annual family income must be less than ₹8,00,000.

- No fee required for SC, ST, PwBD, Female, and Transgender candidates.
Selection Process
- Selection will be based purely on merit.
- Merit list will be prepared using the average of percentage marks in 10th (SSC) and ITI, with equal weightage.
- In case of tie: older candidates will be preferred. If DOB is same, the one who passed 10th earlier will be considered.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification and Medical Examination.
- There will be no written test or viva.
Training Period
The selected candidates are required to undergo apprenticeship training for a period of 1 year.
Other Important Information
- No hostel accommodation will be provided. Candidates must arrange their own accommodation.
- The Apprenticeship does not guarantee employment in Railways after completion.
- Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government authorized doctor is mandatory.
- Any discrepancy in application/certificates will result in rejection of candidature.
- Documents in languages other than English or Hindi must have attested translations.
- Candidates must avoid impersonation or submission of fake certificates; such cases will lead to cancellation and possible legal action.
