Eligibility Criteria and Essential Qualifications

Professor – Academic Pay Level-14

1. The candidate must be an eminent scholar possessing a Ph.D. degree in the concerned, allied, or relevant discipline.
2. The applicant must be actively engaged in research activities.
3. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in a university or college, or equivalent research experience.
4. A minimum of ten research publications published in peer-reviewed journals, Scopus-indexed journals, Web of Science journals, or UGC-listed journals.
5. Candidates must possess the required cumulative research score as prescribed under UGC Regulations 2018.
6. Evidence of academic leadership and sponsored research projects is mandatory.

Age Limit

How to Apply

1. Eligible candidates must apply online through the recruitment portal available on the university website.
2. Upload self-attested copies of educational qualifications, mark sheets, experience certificates, category certificates, research publications, and other relevant documents.
3. Candidates currently employed in Government departments, autonomous bodies, or PSUs must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
4. After successful online submission, download the generated application form.
5. Sign the application form and affix a recent passport-size photograph.
6. Attach all required self-attested supporting documents.
7. Send the completed application form through Speed Post, Registered Post, or by hand to the university address.
8. The envelope must clearly mention:
   
   "Application for the post of Professor in the Subject ______"
   along with the advertisement number and date.

Selection Process

• Scrutiny of applications.
• Verification of eligibility and documents.
• Evaluation of Academic and Research Score (API Score).
• Shortlisting based on UGC Regulations 2018.
• Interview.

Shortlisting Criteria

• For one vacant post, the top twenty eligible candidates will be shortlisted.
• For every additional vacancy, five additional candidates will be shortlisted.
• Candidates with tied scores at the cutoff will also be invited for interview.
• Candidates must produce documentary evidence supporting their API scores during the interview.
• Journal impact factors and indexing status will be independently verified by the Scrutiny Committee.

Reservation Rules and Relaxations

• Reservation benefits shall be available to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Women, EWS, and PwBD candidates having Madhya Pradesh domicile certificates.
• Candidates belonging to other states shall be treated under the Unreserved category.
• SC/ST candidates must submit caste certificates issued in the format prescribed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
• OBC candidates must submit valid Non-Creamy Layer certificates issued by the competent authority.
• Candidates not included in the Madhya Pradesh OBC list shall not be eligible for OBC reservation.
• EWS reservation shall be applicable as per Government of India guidelines and candidates must submit valid Income and Asset Certificates.
• In the absence of eligible women candidates, reserved posts for women may be filled by male candidates of the same category according to merit.
• Invalid caste or EWS certificates may result in cancellation of candidature or termination of appointment.

General Instructions

1. The University reserves the right to increase, decrease, modify, or not fill any advertised post without assigning any reason.
2. Applications must be submitted online only through the university recruitment portal.
3. Candidates must upload all required documents and NOC wherever applicable.
4. The hard copy of the application must reach the university before 10 August 2026 by 5:30 PM.
5. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered under any circumstances.
6. The university shall not be responsible for postal delays, losses, or transit issues.
7. Incomplete applications or applications without required signatures and supporting documents will be rejected.
8. Qualifications and conditions shall be governed by UGC Regulations 2018 and subsequent amendments.
9. Foreign Ph.D. degrees shall be evaluated by the standing committee constituted by the university.
10. Candidates employed in Government, PSU, or autonomous organizations must submit applications through the proper channel.
11. No TA or DA shall be paid for attending interviews.
12. Interview invitations will be sent only via email.
13. The university may verify documents at any stage of recruitment or employment.
14. Submission of false information or forged documents may lead to cancellation of candidature or termination of service.
15. Pay, allowances, leave, pension, and provident fund benefits shall be governed by UGC and Government of Madhya Pradesh rules.
16. The Selection Committee reserves the right to adopt its own evaluation methodology during interviews.
17. The Chairman of the Selection Committee may determine procedures for matters not explicitly covered in the notification.
18. The university reserves the right to issue corrections, modifications, or additions to the advertisement before the closing date.
