Apprenticeship Overview

Northern Coalfields Limited invites online applications for engagement of Graduate, Diploma, ITI Trade, and Paramedical Apprentice Trainees for a duration of one year under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Only Indian nationals who have completed relevant qualifications from recognized institutions (AICTE / UGC / NCVT / SCVT or equivalent statutory bodies) are eligible.

Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be an Indian citizen
• Qualification must be from AICTE / UGC / NCVT / SCVT recognized institutes
• Only full-time regular courses are eligible (no distance/correspondence)
• Must possess required qualification as per discipline (Degree/Diploma/ITI)
• Candidates must not have completed apprenticeship training earlier
• Candidates with 1 year or more job experience are not eligible
• Candidates must not have passed qualification before June 2022
• Higher qualifications than required are not considered

Age Limit

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: +5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
• PwBD: +10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC-NCL)

Selection Process

• Selection is strictly based on Merit List
• Merit is prepared based on qualifying examination marks
• Graduate candidates: Based on Graduation marks
• Diploma candidates: Based on Diploma marks
• ITI candidates: Average of Matriculation + ITI marks
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification
• Final selection subject to medical fitness test
• Tie-breaker: Older candidate preferred, then alphabetical order

2. Register on NAPS portal for ITI Trades: https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
3. Complete online profile with personal and academic details
4. Upload scanned photograph and signature
5. Select eligible discipline and apply online
6. Ensure correct data before final submission
7. Keep printed copy of application form for future reference

Reservation Details

• SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, and UR categories applicable
• PwBD horizontal reservation: 58 slots available
• Reservation as per Government of India norms
• Valid caste certificate required in prescribed format

Application Fees

Medical Fitness Requirement

• Medical fitness is mandatory before final engagement
• Must be certified under Mines Rules, 1955
• Certificate must be issued by Government Medical Officer (Assistant Civil Surgeon or above)
• Medical certificate must be issued after notification date
• Incomplete or incorrect medical format will not be accepted

Important Instructions & Terms

• Apprenticeship does NOT guarantee permanent employment in NCL
• Candidates can apply for only one discipline
• No TA/DA will be provided for any stage
• Stipend will be paid via Aadhaar-linked bank account
• Misrepresentation of information leads to cancellation
• All communication will be through email/SMS/NCL website
• Training duration is strictly 1 year
• Apprentices are entitled to 11 casual leaves and 15 medical leaves annually
• Work timing: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• No accommodation or transport facility provided
