Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Candidates with qualifications included in the Part-II of the Third Schedule must fulfill the conditions specified in subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

For Surgical Specialties (CTVS / Neurosurgery)

• M.Ch (2 / 3 / 5 years recognized course) or equivalent qualification in the respective discipline.
• One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution after obtaining the M.Ch degree.
• Candidates with a 3-year recognized M.Ch degree are not required to have experience.
• Candidate must be registered with the Central or State Medical Council.

For Medical Specialties (General Medicine, Surgery, Radiodiagnosis)

• Postgraduate qualification such as MD / MS or recognized equivalent in the relevant discipline.
• Three years teaching or research experience in a recognized institution after obtaining the postgraduate degree.
• Candidate must be registered with the Central or State Medical Council.

Age Limit

The age limit will be calculated as on 12 March 2026.

Reservation Policy

• Reservation for the above posts will be provided as per Government of India norms.
• Age relaxation will also be provided according to Government of India rules.
• Age relaxation for physically handicapped candidates will be provided as per Government of India norms.

Application Process

1. Candidates must attend the walk-in interview on the scheduled date.
2. Applicants must present themselves for registration at 10:00 AM on 12 March 2026.
3. Candidates must fill in their particulars in the prescribed application format.
4. All relevant documents must be enclosed with the application and duly attested.

• Experience certificates
• Age proof
• Integrity / Character certificate
• Caste certificate issued by competent authority
• MCI / NMC registration certificate
• Recent passport size photograph
• Original certificates must be produced during the interview

Selection Process

• Walk-in Interview
• Verification of documents
• Evaluation of eligibility criteria
• Final decision by institute authority

General Instructions

• Appointment will be purely temporary on an adhoc basis for a period not exceeding 44 days.
• The appointment may continue until regular appointment is made against the vacant post.
• Adhoc appointment will not be extended beyond two years.
• Applicants employed under State / Central Government or PSU must produce a No Objection Certificate.
• The adhoc appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month notice or salary in lieu of notice.
• Adhoc appointees must work full-time and must not engage in private practice.
• Medical fitness certification from the designated authority is required.
• Selected candidates cannot claim regular appointment in NEIGRIHMS.
• No travelling allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
• Accommodation may be provided subject to availability of quarters.
• DNB candidates must verify their qualification from NBE as per Gazette notification.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
• The institute reserves the right to accept or reject any candidature without assigning any reason.
• Decision of the institute authority regarding selection will be final.
