Salary, Fellowship and Benefits
Monthly Fellowship
- First Year: ₹37,000 per month
- Second Year: ₹37,000 per month
- Third Year: ₹42,000 per month
| Base Salary | ₹37,000 per month for the first two years and ₹42,000 per month for the third year. |
| House Rent Allowance (HRA) | HRA will be provided as per Government rules applicable to NIT Warangal. |
| Accommodation Facility | The selected candidate will also be eligible for on-campus hostel and mess facilities, subject to availability. |

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Option 1
Candidates must possess B.Tech./B.E. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Materials Engineering, along with M.E./M.Tech. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant specialization.
- General / OBC-NCL / GEN-EWS candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
- SC / ST / PwD candidates must have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
- GATE qualification is not mandatory.
Eligibility Option 2
Candidates possessing B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering may also apply.
- General / GEN-EWS / OBC-NCL candidates must have at least 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA.
- SC / ST / PwD candidates must have at least 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA.
- GATE qualification is not mandatory.
Eligibility Option 3
Candidates with M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electronics, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology together with M.Tech. in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Ceramic Engineering, or Surface Engineering are eligible.
- General / GEN-EWS / OBC-NCL candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA in UG and PG.
- SC / ST / PwD candidates must have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA in UG and PG.
- GATE qualification is not mandatory.
Eligibility Option 4
Candidates with M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer, Electronics, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Ceramic Engineering, Surface Engineering, or other relevant disciplines are eligible.
- General / GEN-EWS / OBC-NCL candidates must secure at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA.
- SC / ST / PwD candidates must secure at least 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
- GATE qualification is not mandatory.
Desirable Qualifications and Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates who possess qualifications in national-level examinations and those having relevant research experience.
- Qualification in GATE.
- Qualification in UGC examinations.
- Qualification in CSIR examinations.
- Qualification in INSPIRE.
- Qualification in NET or any relevant national-level examination.
- Experience in coating fabrication.
- Experience in surface coatings.
- Experience in electrochemistry.
- Experience in physical metallurgy.
- Experience in predictive data modelling.
- Knowledge of SEM, TEM, XRD and related characterization techniques.
