Reservation Note: 87% seats are reserved for Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates and 13% for others, as per state government rules.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Botany or equivalent subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university.
• Candidate must have cleared NET/SLET/SET or hold a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2022.
• Allied Subjects: Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biology, Environmental Science, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Genetic Engineering.
• Good Academic Record: Required as per UGC standards.

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years (for MP domicile)
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST/OBC (MP domicile): +5 years
  • Women (MP domicile): +5 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): +10 years
