Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Marketing Division), Eastern Region, headquartered at Indian Oil Bhavan, 2 Gariahat Road (South), Kolkata – 700068, invites applications for engagement of Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/1992 (as amended). This recruitment covers multiple disciplines across various states and Union Territories in Eastern India, including West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam, Sikkim, Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Stipend
Stipend shall be paid as per the rates prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules 1992/2019/2025 (as amended). Specific stipend amounts are not mentioned in the advertisement.
Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria
Trade Apprentices (Discipline Codes 107–111)
- Fitter – Matric + 2-year ITI (Fitter)
- Electrician – Matric + 2-year ITI (Electrician)
- Electronics Mechanic – Matric + 2-year ITI (Electronics Mechanic)
- Instrument Mechanic – Matric + 2-year ITI (Instrument Mechanic)
- Machinist – Matric + 2-year ITI (Machinist)
Technician Apprentices (Discipline Codes 101–106)
3-year full-time Diploma in the respective engineering discipline with:
- 50% aggregate for General / EWS / OBC-NCL
- 45% aggregate for SC / ST / PwBD (for reserved positions)
Graduate Apprentices (Discipline Code 112)
Full-time graduation (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA) with:
- 50% aggregate for General / EWS / OBC-NCL
- 45% aggregate for SC / ST / PwBD (for reserved positions)
Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Discipline Codes 113 & 114)
- Class 12th pass (but below graduation)
- Skill Certificate required only for Discipline Code 114
Additional Eligibility Conditions
- Qualification must be full-time and from a recognized institute.
- Distance or correspondence qualifications are not eligible.
- CGPA/OGPA must be converted to percentage as per institute rules.
- Higher professional degree holders (BE/BTech, MBA, MCA, CA, LLB, etc.) are NOT eligible.
- Candidates can undergo a maximum of two apprenticeships, not in the same trade.
Qualification Year Range
- Graduate & Technician apprentices: Qualification between 01.04.2022 – 31.12.2025
- ITI & DEO apprentices: Qualification between 01.04.2021 – 31.12.2025
Age Limit
Minimum age: 18 years Maximum age: 24 years (as on 31 December 2025)
Age Relaxation: - SC / ST: +5 years
- OBC-NCL: +3 years
- PwBD (General): +10 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): +15 years
- PwBD (OBC): +13 years
Reservation Details
Reservation is applicable as per Government of India norms for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwBD categories. PwBD reservation is applied horizontally only for Graduate Apprentice and Data Entry Operator categories.
PwBD categories allowed:
- Low Vision / Blind
- Hard of Hearing / Deaf
- Locomotor disability (One Arm / One Leg)
- Dwarfism, Acid attack victims, Leprosy cured, Cerebral palsy
- Multiple disabilities (combination of the above)
PwBD candidates must be capable of performing the assigned tasks using suitable aids. Some disciplines are not open to PwBD due to hazardous conditions.
Selection Process
- No written exam or interview will be conducted.
- Selection is purely merit-based on marks in the essential qualification.
- Shortlisted candidates must complete document verification.
- Medical fitness certificate is mandatory for engagement.

Step-by-Step Procedure
- Register on NATS/NAPS portal as per category.
- Login and apply for apprenticeship openings under IOCL Eastern Region.
- Use the following Establishment IDs:

- After applying on the portal, submit all required details through Microsoft Form: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/4846hcLHPE
- Ensure all profile details are correct before submission.
- Applications with incorrect or incomplete information will be rejected.
Important: Candidates must apply for only one discipline code. Multiple applications will result in rejection.
