The recruitment is for the position of Permanent Commission Officer (Lieutenant after training) under the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme – 55 (TES-55) course commencing from July 2026.
Location and Training Centres
The selected candidates will undergo pre-commission training at the following institutions:
- Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun – Uttarakhand
- College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune – Maharashtra
- Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow – Madhya Pradesh
- Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad – Telangana

Salary, Pay Scale, and Allowances

Application Process
- Apply online only at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
- Candidates may edit their details before the closing date.
- After submission, take two printouts of the application (containing roll number).
- Carry one attested copy with original documents to the SSB interview.
- No hard copy of the application is required to be sent to the Directorate General of Recruiting.
- Documents to bring during SSB Interview:
- Class 10 certificate (Date of Birth proof)
- Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
- JEE (Main) 2025 scorecard
- Identity proof (Original)
- 20 attested passport-size photographs
Eligibility Criteria
| Educational Qualification | Passed 10+2 Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate marks from a recognized board and appeared in JEE (Main) 2025. |
| Nationality | Indian Citizen, Subject of Nepal, or a Person of Indian Origin settled permanently in India as per government norms. |

Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 16½ years
- Maximum Age: 19½ years as on 01 July 2026
- Date of Birth Range: Born not before 02 January 2007 and not after 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive)
Reservation and Vacancies
Total Vacancies: 90 (Provisional). Vacancies may increase or decrease depending on organizational requirements. No category-wise reservation is specified in the notification.

No application fee is required for submitting the online form.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on JEE (Main) 2025 score and PCM percentage.
- Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview – 5-day assessment at Allahabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar centres.
- Medical Examination for recommended candidates.
- Preparation of Merit List based on SSB performance.
- Issue of Joining Letter as per merit and availability of seats.
Training Details
The total duration of training is 4 years (3 years at Cadet Training Wing and 1 year at IMA Dehradun).
- Degree Awarded: Engineering Degree after successful completion of training.
- Training Cost: ₹13,940 per week (as per 2021 rates, borne by the Government; recovered if candidate withdraws voluntarily).

- CME Pune – Civil and Mechanical Engineering
- MCTE Mhow – Telecommunication and IT Engineering
- MCEME Secunderabad – Electronics and Mechanical Engineering

Other Important Information
- Candidates must not marry before or during training; violation leads to disqualification and recovery of expenses.
- Candidates must not have been debarred by UPSC or convicted by any court.
- Only one application per candidate is permitted.

- SSB and medical proceedings are confidential; Directorate General Recruiting has no role in them.
- No TA/DA or compensation is payable for injury during SSB.
