Employment Type

Contractual appointment for 5 years. Probation for 1 year (extendable once for 1 year, maximum probation of 24 months). The probation period is included in the total contract duration.

• Attach self-attested copies of all certificates and mark sheets from SSC onwards. Original certificates must be produced at the time of selection.
• Candidates in Government / Semi-Government / PSU / Educational Institutions must apply through proper channel. An advance copy may be sent, but No Objection Certificate or forwarded application from the competent authority is mandatory.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

1. Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or ICWA degree from a recognized institution.
2. Eight years’ experience in educational institution / Government / Semi-Government / Public or Private Enterprise / Firms:
   • Experience in conducting periodic internal audit.
   • Experience in budget preparation and execution.
   • Experience in reconciliation of accounts and submission of financial progress reports as per rules.
   • Experience in monitoring and maintaining store and fixed assets register.
   • Experience in statutory audit matters.
3. Sound knowledge of Procurement/Tendering and GEM application operationalization.
4. Attended at least two accounting workshops from recognized institutions.
5. Excellent knowledge of MIS reporting.
6. Excellent knowledge of latest version of Tally and GST.

Desirable Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• Proficiency in English and Gujarati languages.
• Valid CCC certificate.
• Knowledge of UGC, RTI, Government of India, BCI, NAAC, and Government of Gujarat regulations.

Age Limit

Preferably below 60 years. Age of superannuation as per Government of Gujarat norms.

Candidates from reserved categories must attach self-attested copy of category certificate to claim fee concession.

Application Fees

Fees must be paid via Demand Draft in favor of “Gujarat Maritime University”, payable at Gandhinagar. No other mode of payment is accepted. Applications without fee will be rejected.

Selection Process

• Written Test, followed by Personal Interview.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview. No correspondence will be entertained from non-shortlisted candidates.

  • Domain Knowledge of Establishment, Accounts, Examinations

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.

• Contractual appointment gives no right to renewal, extension, or permanent absorption.
