Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited, a 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) jointly owned by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat, has released a recruitment notification for various Systems posts.

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation is entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-I, Phase-II, Surat Phase-I and its Operations & Maintenance activities.

GMRC invites applications from eligible and experienced candidates for the following posts on Contract/Deputation basis for a minimum period of 3 years, extendable up to 5 years based on performance, subject to the standard terms and conditions of the organization.

Manager (Traction), O&M, Ahmedabad

Educational Qualification

• Candidate must be a B.E / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics discipline from a Government recognized University/Institute.

Relevant Work Experience

• Planning
• Preparation of technical specifications
• Administration of contracts
• Installation
• Testing
• Commissioning
• Statutory approvals
• Maintenance of electric traction / HV Power systems

Experience Requirement

• Private Organization: Minimum 9 years of post-qualification experience.
• Government Organization / PSU / Metro Rail Corporation: Minimum 7 years of experience.
• Candidates with experience in modern urban metro rail systems will be given preference.

Pay Scale Eligibility

• Candidate should be presently working in revised IDA scale of at least ₹60,000-1,80,000 or Level 8 or equivalent under CDA scale in Government / PSU / Metro Rail Corporation.
• OR Candidate should have worked at least 2 years in revised IDA payscale of ₹50,000-1,60,000 or Level 7 under the 7th CPC scale in Government / PSU / Metro Rail Corporation.
• Private sector candidates should have minimum CTC of ₹90,000 per month.

Assistant Manager (Rolling Stock)

Educational Qualification

• B.E / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Power Electronics, Instrumentation or equivalent discipline from a Government recognized University/Institute.

Experience Requirement

• Relevant experience in planning, technical specification preparation, contract administration, installation, testing, commissioning, statutory approvals or maintenance of Rolling Stock systems.
• Private Organization: Minimum 7 years of relevant post-qualification supervisory grade experience.
• Government / PSU: Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification supervisory grade experience.
• Candidates with modern urban metro rail experience will be preferred.

Engineer – Senior Grade (M&P)

Educational Qualification

• Candidate must possess B.E / B.Tech degree in any of the following disciplines:
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Power Electronics Engineering
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Equivalent discipline from a Government recognized University/Institute

Required Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification relevant experience.
• Experience in preparation of tender documents.
• Experience in administration of contracts.
• Experience in installation, testing and commissioning.
• Experience in maintenance of Machines & Plants in modern urban metro rail systems or railways.
• Candidates with experience in modern urban metro rail systems will be given preference.

Engineer – Junior Grade (Rolling Stock)

Educational Qualification

• Candidate must possess B.E / B.Tech degree in any of the following disciplines:
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Power Electronics Engineering
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Equivalent discipline from a Government recognized University/Institute

Required Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Experience in planning.
• Experience in preparation of technical specifications.

• Experience in installation, testing and commissioning.
