Project Title
NMHS funded project entitled "Creation of an Integrated Database of the Himalayan Biodiversity for Mainstreaming in Policy to meet National Commitments".
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Science and Development, Geography, Ecology, Botany or allied subjects from a recognized University.
- One year of Research experience in the relevant field.
- Consistently good academic records.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience and Expertise in RS & GIS (Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System).
- Evidence of scientific research as paper / dissertation.
Nature of Work & Key Responsibilities
- Evaluation of field and remote sensing-based Ecosystem Services of various ecosystems following the SEEA framework.
- Extraction of various climatic, edaphic, ecological, and social factors.
- Delineation of ecosystems for modeling through RS & GIS and data analytics.
- Other related work, including active field data collection.
