Job Description

The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will conduct research in the field of quantitative forecasting and machine learning. The work involves developing a robust and scalable, data-driven forecasting system for utility-scale solar energy plants, specifically targeting 15-minute interval, day-ahead energy predictions. The candidate will compare the results with existing models and propose new models as required. Additionally, the selected JRF will be responsible for writing research articles for indexed journals, conferences, and contributing to patentable outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Mathematics and Computing / Operations Research / Data Science
• OR B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science / Data Science / Analytics
• OR MBA in Business Analytics / Data Science
• Minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination
• Candidates with prior knowledge of programming, computational statistics, or data science will be preferred
• GATE / NET qualification is not mandatory but preferred

PhD Registration Option

Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program at BITS Pilani, subject to fulfilling the institute’s PhD qualification requirements and norms.
