Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have passed Engineering / Diploma in 2022, 2023, or 2024 are eligible.
• Registration on the MHRD NATS Portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) is mandatory.
• Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship or have work experience of one year or more are not eligible.

Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.

Reservation of Vacancies

Guidelines under Apprentices Act for reservation of SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be followed. Candidates claiming reservation must provide valid certificates in Government prescribed format. If BC candidates claim OBC category, they should furnish OBC certificates as per prescribed format from competent authority (Tahsildar if authorized).

Selection Process

• Engagement will be based purely on merit of aggregate marks in qualifying degree/diploma.
• Preference will be given to children of VPA employees (deceased, medically invalidated, superannuated, or serving).
• Final merit list will be prepared category-wise (General/SC/ST/OBC) after verification by BoAT (SR) and Visakhapatnam Port Authority.
• Interview schedule will be communicated through registered mobile number and email only.

Training Duration & Conditions

The Apprenticeship training duration will be one year as per Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973. No guarantee of employment after completion of Apprenticeship training. VPA shall have no obligation to offer employment or appointment to apprentices upon completion.
