For Drivers (Post Code 45)

• Gender: Men and Women are eligible.
• Age Limit: Must have attained 22 years and not have attained 35 years as on 1st July 2025.
• Educational Qualification: Must have passed SSC or its equivalent examination recognized by the State Government as on 1st July 2025.
• Driving Licence: Must possess valid HPMV and HGV or Transport Vehicle Licence continuously for not less than 18 months as on 17th September 2025.
• Medical Standards:
  • Good mental and physical health with no defects affecting duty performance.
  • Distant Vision (Naked Eye): 6/6, Near Vision: J1, Colour Vision: Normal, Field of Vision: Normal, Fundus: Normal.
  • Persons with disabilities are not eligible.

For Shramiks (Post Code 46)

• Gender: Men and Women are eligible.
• Age Limit: Must have attained 18 years and not have attained 30 years as on 1st July 2025.
• Educational Qualification: Must have passed ITI in one of the following trades or equivalent Centre of Excellence (CoE) trade as on 1st July 2025:
  • Mechanic (Diesel) / Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
  • Sheet Metal / MVBB / Fitter
  • Auto Electrician / Electrician
  • Painter
  • Welder
  • Cutting and Sewing / Upholster
  • Millwright Mechanic
• Medical Standards:
  • Distant Vision: Naked Eye / Corrected Eye 6/24 or 6/36
  • One-eyed candidates allowed if good eye vision is 6/9
  • Near Vision: J1 with glasses, Field of Vision: Normal, Fundus: Normal
  • Persons with disabilities are not eligible.

Community-wise Reservation

• Reservation shall follow Rule 22 and 22(A) of the Telangana State & Subordinate Service Rules (1996) as adopted by TGSRTC.
• Applicable for SC, ST, BC-A/B/C/D/E and EWS candidates who are local to Telangana State as per Regulation 8 of TGSRTC Recruitment Regulations.
• BC candidates must submit latest Community and Non-Creamy Layer Certificates issued on or after 1 April 2025.
• EWS candidates must submit valid Income & Asset Certificates issued by District Magistrate, Collector or Tahsildar.
• Relaxation in upper-age limit and/or reservation to BC-E Group will depend on final orders of Hon’ble Courts (Civil Appeal Nos 2628-2637 of 2010).

Women Reservation

33 ⅓ % of the vacancies in each category are reserved for Women under Direct Recruitment on a horizontal basis (GO Ms No. 35, GA (Ser.D) Dept., 13 Feb 2024). For the post of Shramik, Women reservation is not applicable; both Men and Women will be selected purely on merit.

Meritorious Sports Persons (MSP)

Reservation to Meritorious Sports Persons applies per GO Ms No. 107 dated 27 July 2018 and subsequent GO Ms Nos 74 (09 Aug 2012) and 5 (14 May 2018). Candidates with Form-1 / 2 / 3 (Drivers) or Form-1 to 4 (Shramiks) along with participation certificates are eligible. If adequate MSP candidates are not available, the vacancies revert to open competition.

Local Candidate Reservation

Reservation to Local Candidates follows the Presidential Order 2018 (Regulation 8 of TGSRTC Recruitment Regulations). Districts are grouped into nine Contiguous District Cadres; 95 % of posts go to local candidates, 5 % to open competition.

Contiguous District Cadres include:

• CDC-I – Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Komaram Bheem Asifabad
• CDC-II – Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jagtial, Rajanna Siricilla, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu
• CDC-III – Medak, Siddipet
• CDC-IV – Nizamabad, Kamareddy
• CDC-V – Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem
• CDC-VI – Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet
• CDC-VII – Nalgonda, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri
• CDC-VIII – Warangal, Hanumakonda, Mahabubabad, Jangaon
• CDC-IX – Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Hyderabad, Sangareddy

For Drivers (Post Code 45)

1. Physical Measurement Test – Minimum height 160 cm.
2. Certificate Verification on same day as PMT.
3. Driving Test (60 Marks): Seven parameters including starting vehicle, gear change (up/down), road sense, control, use of brakes, parking, and signal compliance. Minimum 30 marks and not less than minimum in three parameters.
4. Weightage Marks (40 Marks): Based on SSC percentage (up to 15 marks) and driving experience (5–25 marks depending on duration of HPMV/HGV licence).
5. Qualifying Marks: 50 % (OC/EWS), 45 % (BC), 40 % (SC/ST) out of 100.
6. Final Selection: Merit based on aggregate (Driving Test + Weightage). First 5 % posts filled from combined merit list, remaining 95 % by local candidates as per district population ratios.

If two candidates obtain equal marks, the candidate born earlier will get preference.

For Shramiks (Post Code 46)

1. Certificate Verification of original documents.
2. Weightage Marks (100 Marks): 90 for ITI/CoE percentage (% × 0.90) + 10 for National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
3. Qualifying Marks: 50 % (OC/EWS), 45 % (BC), 40 % (SC/ST).
4. Final Selection: Pure merit basis on aggregate marks with district-wise local reservation (95 % local, 5 % open).

If two candidates secure equal marks, the elder candidate (by date of birth) will be given preference.
