Selection Process & Key Notes
- If eligible candidates are more than 5 times the vacancies for a post, a written MCQ test (subject related) will be conducted.
- Based on the score, a merit list will be prepared; interview of only top scorers (5 times the number of vacancy) will be conducted.
- Original documents will be verified before interview.
- Selection Committee decision is final and may alter number of vacancies.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending walk-in interview.
- Work may require travelling outside city and overnight stay.
Tenure & General Terms (Key Points)
- Initial appointment for 6 months, extendable for another 6 months based on performance.
- Temporary for fixed term; ends automatically on expiry unless renewed / re-employment letter issued.
- Termination/leave: 1 month notice for termination or leaving contract (as mentioned).
- Applicable Government taxes may be deducted from consolidated pay.
- Not treated as regular employee of SMIMER/DHR/ICMR; no claim on regular post.
- Not entitled to medical aid/bonus/regular staff facilities.
- Leave: Six (06) casual leaves + 1 sectional off in 6 months; public holidays applicable; written permission required before leave.
- Disputes under Surat city jurisdiction; Dean, SMIMER decision final.
