Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam.
- Must be registered with an Employment Exchange in Assam.
- Must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
- Educational Qualification:
- Sub Inspector (AB): Graduate in Arts / Science / Commerce or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Constable (AB): HSLC (10th) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized board.

Selection Process
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Race, Long Jump, Chin-ups, etc.
- Medical Examination and Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Written Test (only for Sub Inspector AB) – 100 MCQs (1 mark each, 0.5 negative)
- Psychometric Test – 20 marks
- Final Merit:
- Sub Inspector (AB): Written 100 + PET 80 + Psychometric 20 = 200 marks
- Constable (AB): PET 80 + Psychometric 20 = 100 marks
