Salary and Employment Type

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a citizen of India and permanent resident of Assam.
- Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
- Must be able to speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
- Must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council.
- For Driver Constable (Police/APRO/Forest): Must possess valid LMV/MMV/HMV license.
- For Driver & Driver Operator (Fire & Emergency Services): Must possess valid HMV license.

Selection Process
- Physical Efficiency & Standard Test (PET/PST)
- Driving Skill Test (Maximum 10 Marks, Pass Marks 5)
- Written Test (50 Marks) covering Arithmetic, English, Reasoning, Assam’s GK, Current Affairs
- Oral/Viva Voce (5 Marks)
- NCC Certificate Weightage: NCC ‘C’ – 5 marks, ‘B’ – 3 marks, ‘A’ – 2 marks
Total Marks: 110 (PET 40 + Driving 10 + Written 50 + NCC 5 + Viva 5)

Vacancies are distributed among categories as per Assam Government rules and Post Based Roster: Unreserved, OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), Tea Tribes & Adivasi Communities, and Ex-servicemen (Forest Department).

Other Important Instructions
- No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in tests.
