Applications are invited for the engagement of one Young Professional (Legal Consultant) on a short-term contract basis at the Headquarters of Staff Selection Commission (SSC), New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

Criteria	Details
Essential Qualification	Graduate Degree in Law from NLSIU or equivalent Law Schools/Colleges with at least 60% marks
Essential Experience	Minimum 2 years
Desirable Experience	Drafting legal documents, scrutiny in recruitment matters, CAT case handling, preparation of examination notices, contract agreement drafting.
Age Limit	Upper age limit: 32 years

Job Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor legal case database (CAT, High Courts, Supreme Court, etc.)
Draft petitions, replies, rejoinders, affidavits, and other legal documents
Assist SSC Officers in service and recruitment legal matters
Coordinate with Law Ministry and obtain legal opinions
Liaise with Law Ministry, Senior Law Officers, and Government Counsels
Scrutinize notices and contracts from a legal standpoint
Perform any other work assigned

Other Terms and Conditions

Full-time engagement; no external assignments permitted
Must sign contract and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
No extra allowances for accommodation, transport, or medical
Annual Performance Report (APR) will be maintained
Remuneration may be increased by up to 5% if extended
Maximum limit on total remuneration is 1.25× initial amount
Violation of contract or secrecy may result in termination
SSC retains intellectual property rights on consultant’s output
Use of SSC name, logo, or contract publicity is prohibited
Adherence to Government of India rules and conduct expected
Unsatisfactory performance may lead to discontinuation without notice

TA/DA and Leave Policy
