Salary / Base Pay
All posts are placed in Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). Entry pay as per Level 10 rules will be applicable.

Eligibility Criteria
Assistant Registrar
- Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Employees serving in relevant posts with experience as per NIT Recruitment Rules may also apply.
- Desirable: Qualification in Management/Engineering/Law or Chartered/Cost Accountant for Finance & Accounts.
Students Activity & Sports Officer (SAS Officer)
- Master’s Degree in Physical Education / Sports Science with at least 60% marks.
- Record of representation at Inter-University/State/National level competitions.
- Must qualify the national-level test conducted by UGC or approved agency and pass prescribed physical fitness test.
- Desirable: Higher degree (Ph.D.), guiding experience, record of organizing events, proven involvement in sports/cultural activities.
Assistant Librarian
- Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 60% marks.
- NET/SLET/SET qualification conducted by UGC or equivalent agency.
- Desirable: PG Diploma in Library Automation/Networking, PGDCA, or Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
Age Limit
Maximum age limit is 35 years for all posts. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules for OBC-NCL, SC/ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates.
Reservation Details
Reservation is applicable as per Government of India rules:
- Assistant Registrar: UR-1, SC-1, OBC-NCL-1
- Students Activity & Sports Officer: UR-1
- Assistant Librarian: UR-1
- Total: 05 Posts
PwD candidates may apply even for posts not specifically reserved, if identified as suitable.

The selection process includes:

Other Important Instructions
- Candidates must verify their eligibility before applying. If found ineligible at any stage, their candidature/appointment will be cancelled.
- All certificates must be in prescribed Government of India formats (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Ex-Servicemen).
- OBC-NCL certificate must be issued on or after 1 April 2025.
- Government/PSU employees must apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
- Legal disputes, if any, will fall under the jurisdiction of Surat courts only.
