Eligibility Criteria

- All age, qualification and experience will be reckoned as on the last date of submission of application (08 December 2025).
- Working knowledge of English & Hindi is required for specified posts.
Age Limit
For all posts: Age should not exceed 62 years. Continuation of tenure beyond first year may be possible annually, but no extension beyond 65 years of age.

Other Important Information
- Individual Consultants will have the legal status of an **Independent Consultant** vis-à-vis RITES Limited and shall not be regarded as staff or employee of RITES Limited.
- No statutory employment benefits such as PF/ESI/Gratuity will be admissible; payment is strictly as consultancy fee.
- Leave entitlement: 1.5 days leave per completed month of consultancy. There is no accumulation of leave beyond a calendar year. Absence up to one month may be without remuneration; in exceptional cases (professional development/training) may be considered.
- Maternity leave as applicable under law (Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017) for women Consultants.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for joining the assignment or attending the interview.
- Police verification of the selected candidate is mandatory; if verification returns negative the contract shall cease immediately without notice.
- Selected consultant must give one month’s notice prior to resignation; similarly RITES may terminate the contract giving one month’s notice in normal course.
- All payments will be subject to tax deduction at source as per prevailing rules. The consultant is responsible for their own taxes and other contributions. Goods & Services Tax (GST), if applicable, will be paid by RITES Limited.
- Contract extension: The initial tenure may be extended year-to-year based on performance and project requirement, but in any case no continuation beyond age of 65 years.
- The consultant shall abide by all applicable laws, rules, regulations, including the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923. Confidentiality obligations, prohibition of use of name/emblem of RITES Limited without permission, audit/investigation rights of RITES Limited, etc. are part of the contract terms.
Important Terms & Conditions
This engagement is purely contractual and temporary in nature. RITES Limited may cancel the appointment at any time without assigning any reason. The position is client-site specific and offer of engagement is subject to client approval of the candidate’s CV. RITES reserves its right to shortlist eligible candidates and decide final eligibility.
