Remuneration and Contract Details

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must possess an MBBS degree in the allopathic system of medicine from a recognized university.
• Applicants with a postgraduate degree in General Medicine may also apply.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a practicing doctor in any hospital or clinic is required.
• Applicants must have their own dispensary or place of residence within 30 km of the Bank’s dispensary.
• A valid registration certificate from the Delhi Medical Council under the Delhi Medical Council Act, 1997 is mandatory.

Selection Process

1. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience.
2. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview conducted by the Reserve Bank of India, New Delhi.
3. The Bank reserves the right to raise minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called for interview.
4. Candidates who qualify in the interview will have to undergo medical fitness tests at their own cost.
5. Document verification will be carried out for shortlisted candidates.
6. The final selection will be subject to medical fitness, verification of documents, and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions (Annex-I) and Code of Conduct (Annex-II).
7. The selected candidate must sign a formal contract agreement with the Bank before engagement.

Other Important Information

• Duty hours: 5 hours per day during Bank’s working hours (Monday to Friday), total 25 hours per week.
• Duty location: RBI Dispensary, Main Office Building, 6, Sansad Marg, New Delhi – 110001.
• The contract can be terminated with three months’ notice or remuneration in lieu thereof.
• No claim for regular employment can be made on the basis of this engagement.
• Income tax will be deducted at source as per applicable laws.
• The jurisdiction of any dispute related to this contract will be the Courts of Delhi.
• The selected Medical Consultant will work under the administrative control of the Regional Director, RBI, New Delhi.
• The Code of Conduct includes professional integrity, confidentiality, prohibition on accepting gifts, and avoidance of conflicts of interest.
