RARI Jammu SRF (Botany) Recruitment 2026

Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), Jammu, under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has invited applications for the post of Senior Research Fellow (Botany) on a purely contractual basis under an IMR project.

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Botany) with 2 years research experience.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in research projects funded by Ministry of AYUSH, ICMR, CSIR, DST, or equivalent organizations.
• Required Skills: Drafting and editing scientific documentation, articles and technical reports, sound knowledge of ethnobotanical survey, and working knowledge of computer applications.
• Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview/written test.
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.

1. This recruitment will be conducted through walk-in interview / written test only.
2. Eligible candidates must appear on 16.04.2026 at 10:00 AM at RARI, Bantalab, Jammu.
3. Candidates must carry original testimonials and documents for verification.
4. Application format can be downloaded from the Council’s website.
5. No candidate will be allowed after the stipulated date and time.

Project Details

The post is for the IMR project titled “Documentation and Validation of Local Health Traditions and Ethnomedicinal Practices in Bhalesa, District Doda, Jammu and Kashmir.”

• The engagement is purely contractual and temporary.
• The appointment is co-terminus with the project.
• The services may be curtailed or extended based on performance or need basis.
• This engagement will not confer any claim for regular appointment.
• Eligibility regarding age will be determined on the date of interview/written test.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/written test.
