Educational Qualification
- Group C (Level-2): Intermediate (10+2) with 50% marks OR Graduation/Post Graduation. For technical posts: Matriculation + ITI/Apprenticeship.
- Group D (Level-1): 10th pass OR ITI OR NAC from NCVT.
Scouts & Guides Qualification
- President’s Scout/Guide/Ranger/Rover OR Himalayan Wood Badge Holder
- Active member of a Scouts organization for at least 5 years (Certificate of Activeness required)
- Attended two National/All India Railways level events AND two State level events

Selection Process
- Written Test (60 Marks): 40 Objective Questions + 1 Essay (20 marks). Duration: 60 minutes. Negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer.
- Certificate Marks (40 Marks): Based on participation in National/State/All India events, specialized courses, and rallies.

Other Important Information
- Medical fitness examination is mandatory before appointment.
