SAKSHAM – Scientific Advancements in Knowledge for Sustainability, Healthcare, and Materials

Research Themes

• Theme 1: Advanced Materials
• Theme 2: Environmental Sustainability and Energy Technology
• Theme 3: Health and Medical Technologies

• The initial appointment will remain valid up to 30 June 2027.
• The appointment may continue till September 2029.
• The fellowship will continue only up to the duration of the project if the project concludes earlier.
• Extension of the fellowship will be based on the candidate's performance and will be reviewed semester-wise.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences, Engineering, Management, or Technology.
• Candidates belonging to the General category must have secured at least 60% aggregate marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale.
• The qualifying degree must be obtained from a UGC-recognized university, institute, or autonomous body.

Eligibility for Final-Year Candidates

• Candidates currently studying in the final year of their Master's programme are eligible to apply.
• Applicants who have submitted their dissertation or thesis but whose final-semester results are pending at the time of application may also apply.
• Such candidates must submit their final results on or before 31 August 2026.
• Failure to submit the final result within the prescribed timeline will result in cancellation of the fellowship offer.

Important Information Regarding Selection

• The written examination and interview will be conducted in physical mode at NIT Kurukshetra.
• Only shortlisted candidates will receive details regarding the written test and interview schedule through email.
• The syllabus for the written examination in each discipline will be based on the relevant GATE or NET curriculum.
• Candidates who have qualified GATE, NET, or any other national-level examination are exempted from the written examination.
• No TA or DA will be provided for attending the written examination or interview.
