Salary and Benefits

• Selected candidates will receive a fellowship of Rs. 37,000/- per month.
• Hostel accommodation will be provided.
• Candidates may receive 10% House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per institute norms and approval from ISRO.
• The selected candidate will be eligible to apply for the PhD programme at NIT Meghalaya in accordance with institute regulations.
• Candidates will have to apply separately for PhD admission whenever the institute releases the PhD admission notification.

Nature of Work

The selected Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will be involved in research and development activities under the ISRO-funded project. The responsibilities include:

• Design of Intelligent Reflecting Surface (IRS) systems.
• Simulation and analysis of communication systems.
• Prototyping and implementation of drone-based communication technologies.
• Research activities related to remote area connectivity solutions.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy any one of the following educational qualifications.

1. M.Tech. or M.E. in RF and Microwave Engineering, Wireless Communication Engineering, or related disciplines.
2. M.Sc. degree along with a valid GATE or NET qualification.
3. GATE-qualified candidates holding a B.Tech. or B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related disciplines.
