Eligibility Criteria

• Constable (Telecommunication): 10+2 (with Science)
• Constable (Photographer): 10+2 (with Science) + 6 months computer course (recognized) + 2 years experience in videography/photography.
• Domicile: Must be domicile of Jammu and Kashmir UT.
• Nationality: Indian

Note: Candidate should not be born before 01.01.1997 or after 01.01.2007.

Reservation Details

• Reservation applicable as per Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act/Rules.
• 15% horizontal reservation for women in non-gazetted ranks.
• 15% reservation for SPOs and 4% for Volunteer Home Guards (VHGs).
• Ex-servicemen reservation as per S.O. 361 of 2021 and S.O. 339 of 2024.
• PwBD candidates are not eligible for these posts.

Selection Process

1. Written Test – Objective Type (MCQs in English). Negative marking of ¼ marks per wrong answer.
2. Bonus Marks for NCC Certificates: “C” - 5%, “B” - 3%, “A” - 2%.
3. Physical Standard Test (PST): Height and chest standards as prescribed.
4. Physical Endurance Test (PET): Race, pushups, and shot put tests (different for male/female).
5. Document Verification (DV): Verification of all original documents and certificates.
6. Medical Examination: Final physical and medical fitness test before appointment.
