Consolidated Monthly Remuneration

TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher): ₹26,250/- per month

Employment Type and Duration

The engagement will be on a contractual (part-time) basis for the academic session 2025–26. The tenure will not exceed 200 working days or until a regular employee joins, whichever is earlier.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 65 years (as on date of notification)
Contractual service cannot continue beyond 65 years of age.

Educational Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

TGT (Social Studies / SST) – Trained Graduate Teacher (Social Studies)

Graduation with any two of History, Geography, Economics, Political Science and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or equivalent).
OR at least 50% marks in Graduation/Post-Graduation with these subjects and B.Ed.
OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed. or B.A.Ed.
OR Post-Graduation with minimum 55% marks and integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed.
Competence to teach in Hindi and/or English medium is mandatory.

TGT (Arts Language – English) – Trained Graduate Teacher (English Language – Arts)

Graduation in English and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR 50% marks in Graduation/Post-Graduation in English and B.Ed.
OR 4-year B.A.(English)/B.A.Ed.(English) or equivalent integrated degree.
Competence to teach in English medium is essential.

TGT (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) – Trained Graduate Teacher (Science)

Graduation with Biology and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR 50% marks in Graduation/Post-Graduation in Biology and B.Ed.
OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. (Biology).
OR Post-Graduation in Biology with minimum 55% marks and integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed.

PRT (Computer) – Primary Teacher (Computer)

At least 50% marks in aggregate in any of the following:
- B.E. or B.Tech (Computer Science / IT)
- BCA / MCA

- B.Sc. (Computer Science)
OR Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science with PG Diploma in Computer Application.
OR Post-Graduate degree in Science with PG Diploma in Computer Application.
OR ‘A’ Level certification from DOEACC.
Desirable: Knowledge of Python, AI, Hindi (Unicode), English Typing, Photoshop, Video Editing.
Preference: Candidates with 2-year D.El.Ed., 4-year B.El.Ed., or pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

Application and Selection Process

The mode of selection is purely through Walk-in-Interview.
No separate application form or online submission is required.
Selection will be based on Interview Performance and Document Verification.
Candidates must bring original educational certificates, date of birth proof, community/PwBD certificates, and two character certificates from Gazetted Officers.

Reservation Details

Reservation will be provided as per Government of India norms for UR, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories. PwBD candidates with at least 40% benchmark disability are eligible under Section 34(1) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Terms and Conditions

Engagement is purely temporary and contractual.
No entitlement to leave, medical facilities, railway passes, PTOs, or transportation.
Remuneration will not be paid during school vacations; pro-rata payment will apply for broken months.
Engagement can be terminated by either party with two weeks’ notice without reason.
Unsatisfactory performance will lead to termination.
Candidates must undergo medical examination (Standard: CEE-ONE or CEE-TWO).
Character and antecedent certificates from two Gazetted Officers are required.
Original documents must be presented during joining.
Contract teachers will not have any right to regularization or continuation in service.
They will not be considered part of the regular cadre of railway teachers.
