Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- B.S.-M.S. 5-year Integrated in Physics
- OR 2-year M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics
- OR B.S./B.Tech./B.E. in Physics / Engineering Physics / Radio Physics
- Minimum 60% marks or equivalent aggregate
- Valid GATE / CSIR-UGC NET including LS/JRF and/or JEST score

Desired Experience
Good knowledge of one or more of the following at the M.Sc. Physics level:
- Atomic and Quantum Physics
- Electronics
- Optics
- Electromagnetic Theory
- Atomic and Laser Spectroscopy
Hands-on experimental exposure at the senior undergraduate or M.Sc. level in optics, atomic physics, and lasers is highly desirable.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for applicants is 28 years.
Reservation Details
Relaxations in minimum marks are applicable as follows:
- OBC/EWS: 7.0 CGPA or 70%
- SC/ST/PwD: 6.5 CGPA or 65%
