IIT Hyderabad Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Recruitment 2026

The Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad), has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). Educational Qualification

• M.Sc. in Physics from a recognized institute with at least 60% marks.
• OR B.Tech. in Engineering Physics from a recognized institute with at least 60% marks.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must satisfy at least one of the following eligibility conditions:

• Valid GATE Score.
• DST Inspire Fellowship.
• CSIR-UGC JRF Qualification.
• CGPA of 9.0 or above from a Centrally Funded Technical Institution (CFTI).

Preferred Skills

Applicants should possess a strong interest in programming and computational physics. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in numerical methods and computational modelling.

• Programming using Fortran.
• Programming using MATLAB.
• Experience in PDE solvers.
• Experience in ODE solvers.
