Research Project Details
The recruitment is being conducted for a sponsored research project titled “Disposal Strip Kit for Early and Non-Invasive Diagnosis of Chronic Kidney Disease (DISK-CKD)”.
The project focuses on the development of advanced biosensor devices and microfluidic technologies for early and non-invasive diagnosis of chronic kidney disease. The research work involves design, fabrication, and characterization of biosensing platforms and nanomaterials suitable for biomedical diagnostic applications.
The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator in the School of Medical Science and Technology at IIT Kharagpur.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates with M.Sc. in Physics, Materials Science, or Chemistry are preferred.
- Candidates with B.Tech. or M.Tech. in the following engineering disciplines are also eligible:
- Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Valid GATE score is required for M.Sc. and B.Tech. candidates.
Desired Experience
- Experience in biosensor device development using microfluidics technology.
- Knowledge of microfabrication techniques.
- Experience working with electrochemical biosensors.
- Experience in synthesis, fabrication, and characterization of nanomaterials.
- Experience with gas sensing technologies.
- Research experience in microfluidics and microfabrication technologies.

Selection Process
