IIT Goa Recruitment 2026 – Advisor (Finance & Audit) on Contract Basis

Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa), an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament in 2016, has invited online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the engagement of Advisor (Finance & Audit) on a contract basis. The institute is steadily expanding its academic and research activities in engineering, sciences, and technology from its transit campus and is seeking an experienced professional to support its Finance, Audit, and Accounts functions.

Desirable Qualifications

• Adequate knowledge of Central Government Rules and Regulations.
• Sound knowledge of Accounts procedures.
• Working knowledge of General Financial Rules (GFR).
• Knowledge of Audit procedures.
• Experience in Budgeting and Finance.
• Good noting and drafting skills.
• Ability to work efficiently on computers.
• Knowledge of Tally software.
• Knowledge of PFMS (Public Financial Management System).
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Payroll systems.

Remuneration

The remuneration payable to the selected Advisor (Finance & Audit) shall be governed by the provisions of the Ministry of Finance Office Memorandum No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09 December 2020 and the subsequent Office Memorandum dated 18 October 2023.

Engagement Duration

• The engagement will initially be for a period of one year.
• The engagement shall continue until the incumbent attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
• The engagement may be renewed annually subject to the satisfaction of the Competent Authority.

Terms and Conditions

The engagement shall be governed by the Department of Expenditure Office Memorandum No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09 December 2020.

Job Responsibilities

The selected Advisor (Finance & Audit) shall perform duties in the area of Audit, Finance, and Accounts as assigned by the Competent Authority.
