Salary and Employment Type

• Pay Matrix: Level-14 as per 7th CPC
• Employment Type: Direct Recruitment / Deputation (ISTC basis)
• Probation (Direct Recruitment): 1 Year
• Superannuation Age (Direct Recruitment): 62 Years
• Deputation Period: Initially for 3 years, extendable up to 5 years or till superannuation in the parent cadre, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
• Ph.D. Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives / Manuscript-keeping.
• Evidence of innovative library services including the integration of ICT in a library.
• At least 10 years of experience as Deputy Librarian (Academic Pay/GP Level-12), including a minimum of 3 years in Academic Pay/GP Level-13A in the Library of a Technical University, Educational Institute of National Importance, or a large Technical Library.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age (for Direct Recruitment / Deputation): 56 Years
• Superannuation Age (Direct Recruits): 62 Years

Reservation Details

Out of the total advertised post of Librarian, 01 vacancy is available under Unreserved (UR) category. Reservation policy and age relaxation will be applicable as per the Government of India norms.
