Job Responsibilities

The Academic Assistants and Academic Associates appointed in the Economics Area will assist faculty members and the institute in various academic, research, and administrative activities.

• Assisting faculty members in teaching activities.
• Supporting evaluation and assessment processes.
• Assisting in the development of courses and teaching materials.
• Marking attendance and evaluating classroom participation.
• Performing invigilation duties during examinations.
• Assisting in research activities and consultancy projects.
• Providing support in Management Development Programmes (MDPs).
• Providing secretarial assistance to faculty members.
• Participating in academic and institutional activities.
• Carrying out any additional responsibilities assigned by the institute from time to time.

Duration of Appointment

Appointments will be made purely on a contract basis for an initial period of one year from the date of joining.

• The contract may be renewed annually.
• Renewal will depend upon satisfactory performance.
• Renewal will also depend upon the requirements of the institute.
• The appointment period is generally limited to three years.

Age Limit

The age limit shall be calculated as on the last date of submission of the application or the date of walk-in interview, wherever applicable.
