Pay Scale & Remuneration

Pay Scale (2017 Scales): ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 (Grade IV)

Annual Increment: 3% of running Basic Pay

Additional Benefits: Variable Dearness Allowance, Perquisites & Allowances, Company Accommodation or HRA, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Provident Fund, Gratuity, and other benefits as per HAL rules.

Perquisites and allowances are presently paid at 35% of the running Basic Pay under the Cafeteria System.

Educational Qualification

Full-time B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering / Metallurgy / Material Science / Metallurgy & Materials Technology.
Master’s Degree (M.E. / M.Tech) in Engineering / Technology in relevant discipline.
Full-time or Part-time Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Metallurgical Engineering / Metallurgy / Material Science / Metallurgy & Materials Technology.
Degrees obtained through Part-time / Correspondence / Distance Education / E-learning at the B.E./B.Tech level are not acceptable.

Experience Requirement

Minimum 5 years of Post-Qualification Experience after completion of Ph.D.
Experience gained during the course of acquiring M.E./M.Tech or Ph.D. will not be considered.
Relevant experience includes metallurgical testing, material characterization, failure investigation of aeronautical and engineering components, and R&D work in accredited laboratories or research institutions.

Age Relaxation	5 years relaxation for candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
