Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Graduate from a recognized University.
• Typing speed of not less than 35 words per minute in English on Computer.
• Qualification must be completed on or before 23.02.2026.
• All qualifications must be from institutions recognized by Government of India or approved regulatory bodies.

• Citizen of India
• Subject of Nepal (with eligibility certificate issued by Government of India)

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST – 5 Years
• OBC-NCL – 3 Years
• PwBD (General/EWS) – 10 Years
• PwBD (OBC) – 13 Years
• PwBD (SC/ST) – 15 Years
• Ex-Servicemen – 3 Years after deduction of military service rendered
• No upper age limit for regular employees of Delhi High Court (subject to conditions)

Selection Process

Stage I – Preliminary Examination (Qualifying)

• Computer Based Test (CBT)
• 120 Questions – 120 Marks – 120 Minutes
• 25% Negative Marking (0.25 per wrong answer)
• Qualifying Marks – General: 60 | Reserved: 54

Stage II – Main (Descriptive) Examination

• Total Marks: 100 | Duration: 120 Minutes
• Essay (250 Words – 40 Marks)
• Letter Writing – 10 Marks
• Grammar – 30 Marks
• Translation (25 Words – 20 Marks)
• Minimum Passing – General: 50% | Reserved: 45%

Stage III – English Typing Test (Qualifying)

• 10 Minutes Duration
• Minimum Speed: 35 Words Per Minute
• Maximum Permissible Errors: 3%

Stage IV – Interview

• Maximum Marks: 15
• No minimum qualifying marks
• Final merit based on Main Examination + Interview marks only
