Overview

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Pathologist under the National Health Mission (NHM), Andhra Pradesh. This recruitment is being conducted by the Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on a contract basis.

The recruitment is for the State Headquarters located at Mangalagiri, Guntur District. Candidates from the State of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to apply. The merit list prepared under this notification will remain valid for one year.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• MD in Pathology (or relevant subject)
• OR DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Pathology

Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field
• Experience in Blood Bank establishment and management procedures
• Experience in diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders like Hemoglobinopathies and Hemophilia

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with public health systems and NHM programmes
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and local language
• Strong analytical, advocacy, and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel extensively

Selection Process

Total Marks: 100

1. Academic Qualification (75 marks): Based on aggregate marks in all years of qualifying examination. For CGPA holders, marks = CGPA × 9.5 × 75%.
2. Experience (10 marks): 1 mark for each completed year after acquiring qualification.
3. Contract / Outsourcing / COVID-19 Service Weightage (15 marks):
   • 2.5 marks per 6 months in Tribal Area
   • 2.0 marks per 6 months in Rural Area
   • 1.0 mark per 6 months in Urban Area
   • 0.8 marks per completed month for COVID-19 service less than 6 months

Service certificates must be issued by competent authorities such as DMHO, DCHS, GMC Principal, or GGH Superintendent.
