Employment Type
Permanent (Regular Recruitment – General Recruitment). Private practice is not permitted for selected candidates.

Application Process
Applications must be submitted online only through the MHSRB website. A separate application is required for each post. Applicants must upload all required documents including educational certificates, Telangana Medical Council Registration, community certificates, experience certificates (if applicable), photograph, and signature.
Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate Degree/Diploma/DNB in the relevant specialty.
- Must be registered with the Telangana State Medical Council.
- DNB from hospitals with 500+ beds is equivalent to MD/MS. For other cases, one year of residency after DNB is required.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 46 years (as on 01.07.2025)
Age Relaxations

Note: Maximum permissible age after relaxations cannot exceed 61 years.
Reservation Details
- Reservations as per Telangana Government norms.
- Horizontal reservation for women applies.
- BC-E reservation subject to ongoing litigation.
- SC reservation (Group I, II, III) applicable as per 2025 amendments.
- EWS reservation applicable.
- Sports quota as per Government Orders.
- PWD reservation: Only for locomotor disability.
- Local reservation: 95% posts reserved for local candidates (Multi-Zone I & II).
- Applicants from outside Telangana are not eligible for reservation benefits.
Application Fees
- Application Fee: ₹500 (mandatory for all, no exemption)
- Processing Fee: ₹200 (exemptions for SC, ST, BC, EWS, PH, Ex-servicemen, and unemployed applicants from Telangana)
- Applicants from other states must pay both fees.
Selection Process
- Selection based on 100 points.
- 80 points for marks obtained in PG/Diploma/DNB.
- 20 points for service in Telangana Government hospitals/programmes (contract/outsourced).
- Tie-breaking: Higher age will be given preference.
- No waitlist will be maintained.
Other Important Information
- Selected candidates cannot engage in private practice.
- Experience certificates must be in prescribed formats (Annexures III-A, III-B, III-C).
- All certificates must be ready in PDF format for upload.
