Application Process

1. Applications must be submitted through online mode only.
2. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be considered.
3. The name entered in the application form must exactly match the name in academic and experience documents.
4. In case of name change (for example, after marriage), valid supporting documents must be uploaded at the time of application submission.
5. No changes or corrections are allowed after submission of the application.
6. Submission of application does not guarantee certification.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s / Master’s / Doctorate degree in any one of the following disciplines from a university established in India by law:

• Chemistry
• Biochemistry
• Microbiology
• Dairy Chemistry
• Agriculture Science
• Animal Science
• Fisheries Science
• Biotechnology
• Food Safety
• Food Technology
• Food and Nutrition
• Dairy Technology
• Oil Technology
• Veterinary Sciences

OR the candidate must be an Associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section of Food Analysts.

Experience Requirement

• Minimum three (03) years of experience in the analysis of food.
• Experience must be gained in recognized institutions, research institutions, or research laboratories.
• Experience is calculated from the date of graduation until the closing date of application.
• Experience gained before graduation, after the closing date, or during postgraduate/doctoral programmes will not be considered.
• No relaxation in educational qualification or experience is permissible.

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

Mandatory Food Analyst Training

• Duration: Two weeks
• Training venue will be decided by FSSAI
• All training-related expenses will be borne by FSSAI
• Food Analyst Certificate will be issued after successful completion of training

• No scrutiny of documents will be done before the CBT or Practical Examination.
• Document verification will be conducted only after completion of the Practical Examination.
• All candidates qualifying CBT will be allowed to appear in the Practical Examination.

• Candidates may challenge answer keys by paying ₹100 per question (non-refundable).
