Recruitment Overview

The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Station HQ Yol, Himachal Pradesh under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has invited applications for the engagement of various Medical, Para-Medical, and Non-Medical staff on a contractual basis. The appointments are open for ECHS Polyclinics located at Yol, Hamirpur, Dehragopipur, and the Regional Centre ECHS, Yol.

Application Process

Interested candidates should submit their applications in triplicate in the prescribed format available on the ECHS website. The application must include self-attested copies of all educational qualifications, work experience certificates, and relevant documents. Applications must reach:

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational qualifications and work experience as per ECHS norms for each post.
• Preference will be given to Ex-Servicemen, widows of service personnel, and Veer Naris.
• All certificates and documents must be valid and verifiable.

Age Limit

The age limit shall be as per the norms defined by ECHS. The notification does not specify numerical limits, but the general maximum age for contractual appointments is usually up to 63 years depending on the post.

Reservation Details

• Pharmacist post is reserved for Ex-Servicemen only.
• Female Attendant post is reserved for female candidates only.

Selection Process

• Selection will be conducted through an interview.
• Candidates must bring original certificates including 10th, 12th, Graduation, Post-Graduation, Diploma, or MD/MS as applicable.
• Candidates must also produce a Medical Fitness Certificate signed by CMO/SEMO and a Character Certificate issued by the Tehsildar.
• Ex-Servicemen should carry Discharge Book, PPO, and AWPO Registration Slip at the time of interview.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.

On Job Training (OJT)

Selected candidates for key appointments such as Medical Officer, Radiologist, and Gynecologist will be required to undergo 10 days of unpaid On-Job Training (OJT) at the ECHS Polyclinic before assuming their duties. This training ensures the candidate understands the work environment and operational procedures.
