Salary and Employment Type

• Base Salary: Initially, selected employees will serve for six months as Security Guard (Trainee) in their existing grade and scale of pay. After successful completion of training and Basic Security Training, they will be placed in T & S Grade "G".
• Employment Type: Internal Recruitment - Only for existing permanent employees of Eastern Coalfields Limited.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be an existing permanent employee of Eastern Coalfields Limited.
• Candidate must have passed Class VII (7th Standard).
• Candidate must fulfil the Physical Standard norms as per the Cadre Scheme.
• Employees not eligible to apply: Mining Sirdars, Overman, Electrical Supervisor, Asst. Foreman, Foreman, Land & Revenue Inspector, Amins, Surveyor, Chemist, Technical Pathologist, Technical Radiographer, Staff Nurses and other Paramedical Staff, Electrician (EP Fitter/EP Electrician), SDL/LHD Operator, HEMM Operator (Dumper/Dozer/Shovel/Pay Loader Operator/Dragline Operator/Drill Operator), QC Personnel, Winding Engine Operator, Haulage Operator, Driller, Dresser, Roof Bolter, Pump Operator, Cableman, SDL/IIDL Helper, Blasting Crew, Drill/UDM Operator, Switch Board Attendant, and other similar essential & statutory capacities.

Selection Process

1. Application to be submitted in Annexure-II format to the respective Area General Managers / HODs. For HQ applicants, submission should be made to the Sr. Manager (HR), WBE, ECL HQ, Sanctoria.
2. Physical Standard Test to be held at each Area level. Passing this test does not guarantee selection.
3. Respective Areas/Establishments must retain applications and prepare a consolidated list in Annexure-III. Both hard copy and soft copy (Excel Sheet) must be sent to wageboardestbhq1@gmail.com.
4. On selection, candidates will be appointed as Security Guard (Trainee) for six months in existing grade & scale. They must undergo Basic Security Training within this period organized by HOD (Security), ECL HQ.
5. After successful completion of training, they will be placed in T & S Grade "G" as Security Guard.
6. Selected employees must join within 30 days of Selection Order. Failure to join will lead to cancellation of selection, disciplinary action, and forfeiture of eligibility for the next three years. This is as per CVO’s letter no. ECL/VIG/CVO/SECTT/331 dated 27.02.2015.

Posting and Joining Conditions
