The Directorate of Fisheries, Assam, invites eligible and interested candidates for a Walk-In Interview for contractual positions under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY). The interview will be conducted at the Directorate office, Meen Bhawan, B.K. Kakati Road, Gopinath Nagar, Guwahati. The engagement is purely temporary and contractual in nature.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

1. State Programme Manager (SPM)

Essential Qualification: Master’s in Fisheries Science / M.Sc. in Zoology / M.Sc. in Marine Sciences / M.Sc. in Marine Biology / Master’s in Fisheries Economics / Industrial Fisheries / Fisheries Business Management.
Desirable Qualification: Doctorate in any of the above disciplines; Degree in Management (Preference for Agri Business Management); Knowledge of IT/Computer Applications.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of domain experience in any area of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Age Limit: Not more than 45 years.

2. Deputy State Programme Manager (DSPM)

Essential Qualification: Master’s in Fisheries Science / M.Sc. in Zoology / M.Sc. in Marine Sciences / M.Sc. in Marine Biology / Master’s in Fisheries Economics / Industrial Fisheries / Fisheries Business Management.
Desirable Qualification: Degree in Management (Preference for Agri Business Management).
Experience: Minimum 5 years of domain experience in Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Age Limit: Not more than 45 years.

3. District Programme Manager (DPM)

Essential Qualification: Master’s in Fisheries Science / M.Sc. in Zoology / M.Sc. in Marine Science / M.Sc. in Marine Biology / Master’s in Fisheries Economics / Industrial Fisheries / Fisheries Business Management.
Additional Qualification: Minimum Diploma in Information Technology (IT) / Computer Applications.
Desirable Qualification: Degree in Management (Preference for Agri Business Management).
Experience: Minimum 3 years of domain experience in Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years.

Application and Interview Process

The recruitment is through a Walk-In Interview.
Eligible candidates must register on the day of the interview between 09:30 AM and 11:00 AM.
No registrations will be accepted after the scheduled time.
Candidates must bring original certificates/documents and self-attested photocopies of all educational, professional, and experience certificates, along with age and address proof.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
