Post Details and Vacancies

Applications are invited for the following Junior Instructor posts in different trades:

Salary and Employment Type

• Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 (Pay Band-2) + Grade Pay ₹6,800 + other admissible allowances
• Employment Type: Full-time, Government Service

Important Dates

• Application Start Date: 02 September 2025
• Application End Date: 03 October 2025 (till midnight)

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a citizen of India and registered in an Employment Exchange of Assam.
• Passed HSLC or equivalent qualification from a recognized board/institution.
• Possess National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade.
• One year industrial/teaching experience is desirable.

Age Limit

• General: 18 – 40 years
• SC/ST (P/H): Relaxation of 5 years
• OBC/MOBC: Relaxation of 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation of 2 years
• PWD: Relaxation of 10 years

Reservation Details

Reservations are applicable as per Government of Assam rules, including:

• Unreserved (UR)
• OBC/MOBC
• SC, ST (P), ST (H)
• Tea Tribe & Adivasi communities
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD) – including LDCP (Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy)
• Reservation for Women (RFW)
• Reservation for Ex-Servicemen

Documents required to be uploaded:

• Latest passport size photograph
• HSLC Admit Card/Pass Certificate
• Qualifying Examination Certificate and Marksheet
• Scanned signature
• Valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Declaration in Form “A” under Rule 5(1) of Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019
• PwD Certificate (if applicable)
• Copy of Personal ID (Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/Driving License/Bank Pass Book first page)

Note: No hard copy of the online application form, registration slip, or other documents is required to be sent to the Directorate.

Candidates already employed must inform their appropriate appointing authority in writing about submission of the application.

Selection Process

The selection will be carried out in two phases:

1. Phase I – Written Test (MCQ type):
   • Held in Guwahati (date to be notified later).
   • Duration: 2 hours.
   • Total Marks: 100 (100 questions, 1 mark each).
   • No negative marking for wrong answers.
   • Sections include:

     Basic Digital Literacy	15

2. Phase II – Skill Test:
   • Candidates shortlisted at a 1:4 ratio will be called for the skill test in Guwahati.
   • Total Marks: 50

Final Selection: Merit list will be prepared post and category-wise based on written test and skill test scores. The list will remain valid for 12 months from publication.

General Instructions

• Only one application should be submitted, and only for one post.
• Canvassing directly or indirectly will lead to disqualification.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for journey or stay during recruitment stages.
• In case of equal marks, seniority of age will be preferred.
• Selection list confers no right to appointment until suitability is verified through medical examination and document verification.
• Absence from any stage of recruitment will result in cancellation of candidature.
• Candidature will be rejected if found incomplete, incorrect, or misrepresented at any stage.
• Newly appointed candidates must submit an undertaking to abide by New Pension Rules.
• The Appointing Authority reserves the right to cancel or postpone recruitment.
• Fake documents or false information will lead to rejection and may result in criminal proceedings.
• Offering bribe for any favor will disqualify the candidate and is a criminal offence.
• Any clarification or final decision will rest with the Appointing Authority.
• Use of mobile phones or electronic devices is strictly prohibited during tests.
