Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualification

• Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biological Science prior to obtaining Diploma or Degree.
• Must possess any one of the following qualifications from a Government-recognized University/Institution:
  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
  • Diploma in Laboratory Techniques (DLT)
  • Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT)
  • Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
  • M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) / PGDMLT / BMLT
• Working knowledge of computer is mandatory.

Desirable Qualification

• Minimum six months post-qualification experience in testing of blood and preparation of blood components.
• Experience in a licensed Blood Bank is desirable.
• Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications such as Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.

Reservation Details

• Reservation applicable as per Government of West Bengal norms.
• Applicable categories: SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and EWS.
• Valid caste certificate issued by the competent authority of West Bengal is mandatory.
• Caste certificates issued outside West Bengal will not be accepted.
• If caste certificate is not submitted or found invalid at any stage, the candidature will be treated as Unreserved (UR).
• Only certificates issued within the State of West Bengal will be considered for reservation benefits.

Application Process

1. Applications must be submitted online only.
2. Candidates must visit the official WB Health recruitment portal.
3. Complete online registration and submit the application form.
4. Download and take a printout of the submitted online application form.
5. Preserve the printed copy for document verification.
6. No hard copy of the application form needs to be sent by post.
7. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.

Selection Process

• Screening of online applications.
• Evaluation based on educational qualifications and relevant experience.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
• Final selection will be made by the District Level Selection Committee (DLSC), Paschim Bardhaman.
• Decision of the DLSC will be final and binding.
