Project Information

The selected candidate will work under the research project "CSIR Biomass to Chemicals: A Green Approach towards Circular Economy and Sustainability (B2C)". The project focuses on research related to microalgal studies and sustainable biomass utilization. The appointment is purely project-based and will initially be for a period of 8 months.

Educational Qualification

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates possessing the following additional experience will be preferred:

• Minimum two years of research experience in microalgae isolation and cultivation.
• Experience in pigment extraction.
• Experience in pigment analysis using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
• Experience in UV–Visible spectrophotometry.
• Experience in handling laboratory instruments.
• Experience in scientific data analysis.

Job Responsibilities

The selected Project Associate-II will be responsible for carrying out research and laboratory activities related to the project. The key responsibilities include:

1. Conduct laboratory experiments related to microalgal research.
2. Isolate, cultivate, and maintain microalgal cultures.
3. Perform pigment extraction and analysis using HPLC techniques.
4. Carry out pigment analysis using UV–Visible spectrophotometric techniques.
5. Analyze experimental data.
6. Maintain the project database and research records.
7. Assist in preparing technical reports.
8. Prepare project documentation.
9. Perform other project-related activities assigned by the Principal Investigator.
