Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Environmental Science OR BE / B.Tech in Environmental / Chemical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering from a recognized university AND two years’ experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institution or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
• OR ME / M.Tech in Environmental / Chemical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in working with government agencies or environmental projects.
• Knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
• Knowledge of Environmental compliance.
• Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys and environmental data collection and related travel.
• Analyze environmental data and prepare reports.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned.

Age Limit

The upper age limit shall be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Application Process

Selection will be done through Walk-in Interview. Candidates must bring the following documents while attending the interview:

• Filled application form attached with the advertisement.
• Passport-size photograph.
• Aadhaar Card.
• 10th (SSC) Marksheet.
• 12th (HSC) Marksheet.
• Graduate mark sheets and degree certificate.
• Postgraduate mark sheets and degree certificate.
• One set of photocopies and original documents for verification.

Selection Process

Important Terms and Conditions

• The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
• Engagement will not confer any right for regularization against any CSIR / CSIR-NEERI posts.
• Candidates must have acquired the essential qualification and result must be declared.
• Final semester appearing or result awaited candidates are not eligible.
• Experience will be counted only after acquiring the minimum educational qualification.
• Dissertation or thesis work during academic period will not be counted as experience.
• Time spent acquiring higher qualification will not be counted as experience.
• Mere fulfilling minimum qualification does not guarantee interview selection.
• If large number of applications are received, preference will be decided by the Screening Committee.
• Selected candidates must join within the time mentioned in the offer letter.
• Selected candidates must sign an undertaking for maintaining confidentiality of project findings and intellectual property.
• Project staff engagement depends on project tenure and availability of funds.
• The engagement may be terminated at any time by giving one month notice.
• Candidates may leave the assignment by giving one month notice or payment of one month remuneration.
• Candidates must arrange their own accommodation during project tenure.
• HRA will be admissible as per applicable rules.
• Offer letter will initially be issued for the duration for which project funds are available.
• Performance of project staff may be reviewed by a review committee for extension.
• CSIR guidelines for engagement of project personnel as per CSIR OM dated 02.09.2024 / 18.10.2024 will apply.
• No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Other terms and conditions will be governed as per CSIR-NEERI and funding agency guidelines.
