Eligibility Criteria

For Retired Bank Employees

Retired officers (up to Senior Manager) from PSU, RRB, Private, or Cooperative Banks
Retired clerks from Central Bank of India must have JAIIB
Minimum 3 years of rural banking experience
Maximum entry age: 64 years
Maximum continuation age: 65 years

For Young Candidates

Minimum qualification: Graduate with computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, Internet)
Preferred: M.Sc. (IT), BE (IT), MCA, MBA
Age at appointment: 21 to 45 years
Maximum continuation age: 60 years

Geographical Criteria

Candidate should be from the same or adjoining district
Must be proficient in local language and dialect (reading and writing)
Accommodation must be within the district, near the nodal branch

Remuneration Structure

Leave: Max 30 days/year (2.5 days/month). Max 3 days/month. Extra Ordinary Leave (unpaid) up to 60 days total during entire service.

Selection Process

Interview-based selection
Due diligence including KYC, CIBIL report, and police verification

Certification Requirement

Selected BC Supervisors must obtain IIBF-BC certification within 3 months. One-time registration fee will be reimbursed.

Penalty of ₹1,000/month (4th–6th month)
Penalty of ₹2,000/month (7th–12th month)
Contract will not be renewed after 12 months without certification
Retired staff with JAIIB/CAIIB are exempted

Roles and Responsibilities of BC Supervisor

Monitor BC Agents daily via dashboard, phone, VC meetings, and monthly site visits
Set targets for BCs and evaluate progress against those targets
Ensure banking services reach all SSAs and Non-SSAs including rural/urban/metro areas
Educate BCs on their responsibilities
Resolve grievances of customers/BCs and report to link branch and regional office
Conduct meetings in communities to promote banking services and submit reports
Visit allocated areas and BC points monthly and report activities to Regional Office
Ensure BCs are active, working within business hours, and using only system-generated slips
Prevent BCs from using bank stationery or performing offline transactions
Promote bank and third-party products through BCs
Encourage BCs to assist in loan recoveries and financial literacy sessions
Display BCs’ visit schedules in villages for transparency
Plan camps with branch/region to meet financial inclusion targets
Coordinate with branches and CBCs for BC appointments and training
Collect customer feedback during visits and share with Regional Office
Ensure Dos & Don'ts are displayed at BC points
Suggest improvements in BC activities to Regional Office
Organize technical and operational training for BCs
Monitor financial inclusion targets; failure to meet targets for 2 months or 2 quarters may lead to discontinuation of supervisor
