Employment Type

Fixed tenure engagement in Executive Cadre for up to 15 years, renewable every 5 years or until superannuation at 60 years of age, whichever is earlier, based on performance and project requirements.

Educational Qualification

• Ex-servicemen from Army / Air Force / Navy only
• Rank: Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) or equivalent
• 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Aeronautical / Mechatronics)
• Must have minimum pass class

Post Qualification Experience

• Minimum 15 years experience in UAV / Drone operations
• UAV flying, mission handling, mapping, surveillance
• Troubleshooting and SOP-based operations
• Experience in MALE & SR Tactical UAV programs
• Exposure to certification, developmental testing or military trials
• SATCOM operations and simulator instruction experience

Job Description

• Test, certification, acceptance and operational flying of UAVs
• Ensure safety, compliance, and mission effectiveness
• Operate UAVs in BVLOS airspace including emergencies
• Work as Internal Pilot (IP) / External Pilot (EP)
• Flight safety and trial readiness participation
• Coordination with engineering and quality teams
• Payload and data link management (LOS / SATCOM)
• Flight reporting and documentation
• Training and procedure standardization support

Medical Fitness Requirements

• Medically fit for aviation / UAV duties
• Normal eyesight, no colour blindness
• Neurologically fit with sound judgment
• Full functional use of limbs
• Final clearance by BEL medical authority
