Eligibility Criteria

• Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
• NMC/MCI/State Medical Council Registration is mandatory before joining.
• For Trauma & Emergency: Candidates with MD/MS/DNB in Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics are eligible.
• Candidates must have completed their qualifying degree before the interview date.

Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit: 45 years (as on date of interview).
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation.
• OBC: 3 years relaxation.
• PwBD: 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST).

Reservation & Certificates

• OBC-NCL certificates must be valid (issued between 01.04.2025 and 31.03.2026) in the prescribed DoPT format.
• EWS candidates must produce Income & Asset certificate in prescribed format as per DoPT guidelines (OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt(Res)).
• PwBD candidates with 40%-70% lower limb disability are eligible. Disability certificate must be issued by a valid Medical Board.

Application Process

1. Walk-in Interview. Candidates must attend in person on the scheduled date.
2. Bring filled Application Form (Annexure I) and Bio-Data (Annexure II).
3. Carry original certificates with self-attested copies (Degrees, Mark sheets, Age proof, Caste/Category certificates, Disability certificate if applicable).
4. Carry proof of payment (NEFT receipt).
5. Submit NOC if employed in Central/State Govt or Autonomous Institutions.
6. Separate applications must be submitted for multiple posts.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on Interview at AIIMS Gorakhpur.
• In case of large number of applications, a Written Test may be conducted for shortlisting candidates.
• Final decision will be made by the Executive Director, AIIMS Gorakhpur, and it shall be binding.

Terms & Conditions

• Vacancies are provisional and subject to variation. AIIMS Gorakhpur reserves the right to alter them as per Government of India rules.
• Appointment is under Govt. of India Residency Scheme, initially for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance and conduct.
• Appointment is full-time. Private practice of any kind is not allowed.
• Appointment can be terminated at any time by either side with one month’s notice or salary in lieu thereof.
• Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency in any Govt. medical institution under Residency Scheme are not eligible.
• If an appointee resigns within the first 3 months, no NOC, Relieving Letter, or Experience Certificate will be issued.
• Candidates are not entitled to PF, Pension, Gratuity, Seniority, Promotion, or other benefits available to regular Govt. employees.
• Candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
• Submission of false information or suppression of facts will lead to cancellation of candidature or removal from service.
• No canvassing in any form will be entertained.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• All disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of Courts at Gorakhpur only.
• Appointment is subject to being declared medically fit by a competent Medical Board.
